Instead of just following your ghoulish whims, you’re participating in a time-honored gay tradition. And that’s society, baby! As a gift to our community, we’ve gathered a list of queer horror to stream and told you where to stream it. This list is divided by streaming service and has all-time greats, hidden gems, and recent faves. They range from fun and campy to truly horrifying to truly horrifying and fun and campy. We desire there are some discoveries here for even the biggest horror fan.

Gays have always loved the horror genre, but big studios haven’t always been the kindest to gays – especially when it comes to representation. Scan the recesses of your mind. Besides a quick admission in Scream 4 and the achingly bad stereotypes in Halloween Kills, when was the last time you saw a gay main character in a scary movie that wasn’t a lady. This is also why the Chucky television show is so important.
We’re in the middle of Halloween season, and it’s hard to find a great scary movie, permit alone one that features gay characters as more than side characters used for dirty humor. Unless you contemplate titles from David DeCoteau to be scary. You can find at least a hundred films from this specific director that are supposed to be frightening, but really, they’re just buff, shirtless men dying in their underwear every 10 minutes. (OK, maybe I own a few.)

As extended as there have been horror films, there hold been queer horror films. Master of horror Clive Barker's works have always been queer. From his initial Hellraiser, seeped in BDSM imagery, to the brand-new Hulu remake, starring trans star Jamie Clayton as queer representative Pinhead, his masterpiece about the pleasures of pain have changed how we think about horror.
His other works, including Nightbreed, about a group of monsters trying to escape humanity, have always focused on themes that own attracted queer people to horror, with alienation, otherness, and the grittiness of our world all being transformed into magnificently haunting works from Barker.
