Is eddie from 911 gay
Why 9-1-1's historic decision to make Buck queer was seven years in the making
For seven seasons,9-1-1 fans have been calling on the showrunners to create the queer-coded character Evan 'Buck' Buckley explicitly queer – and to my huge surprise, it's finally happened.
Season seven episode four, 'Buck, Bothered and Bewildered', saw the character grow jealous over Eddie Diaz's new friendship with Tommy Kinard, only for Buck to grasp by the end that it was never Eddie's friendship he was worried about but rather Tommy's attention, and the pair kissed.
Fans have fallen in love with the nature of Buck (played by Oliver Stark) over the past seven years, acknowledging his tender heart and willingness to jump without thinking for those he loves. Many have also argued that the personality has long been queer-coded – when a character's sexual orientation is implied by significant subtext without being stated outright – using canonical moments from across the seven seasons in their arguments.
Think back to the early seasons, and how Eddie Diaz's introduction to the 118 came from Buck's poin

One of the biggest moments in the history of ABC's 9-1-1 was Evan Buckley (Oliver Stark) coming out as multi-attracted in Season 7. The development reverberated across the show's fandom, with many praising the judgment. In the character's life, however, it was not as dramatic — everyone was on board with Buck's newfound relationship with a part of himself. No character was as supportive as Buck's best ally Eddie (Ryan Guzman), who took everything in stride and let his ally be his correct self. Guzman appeared on The Zach Sang Show and revisited filming this pivotal moment. Guzman discussed the force of showcasing a friendship between unbent people and lgbtq+ people. He asserted that friendships should transcend sexualities, saying:
"I think it resonated very well, because the feedback that I got from that scene was just like, “Oh, he's really entity there for him,” and that's what I want to kind of showcase with Eddie, that sexuality doesn't hold to define a friendship. You understand, jus

For seven seasons, one vocal and large corner of the 9-1-1 fanbase has been calling for Buck and Eddie to twist their friendship into a romance, but season 8, episode 6 seemingly cover down that plea. Ever since Eddie joined the cast of 9-1-1 in season 2, many viewers have picked up on the chemistry between him and Buck. The two characters instantly became best friends and undoubtedly possess one of the strongest relationships in the series. However, both were seemingly straight as they only dated women, until Buck came out as pansexual in 9-1-1 season 7.
New episodes of 9-1-1 season 8 air on Thursdays at 8 pm ET on ABC.
Buck's storyline in 9-1-1 season 7 gave "Buddie" shippers hope that one evening Buck and Eddie would become a couple. The concept of them taking their friendship to the next level was seemingly plausible. Buck started internet dating Lou Ferrigno Jr.'s Tommy, but that certainly didn't seal Buck and Eddie's fate. Unfortunately, one episode in 9-1-1 season 8 might have.
Eddie Confirms He's Straight In 9-1-1 Season 8,
"eddie isn't queer/gay," you say. "he is straight in canon, so him being gay is just a head canon. it's ok for others to think of him as straight because that's what he is."
let's ignore for a second the fact that eddie has never ever ever ever not even once, said in canon that he is a heterosexual very straight guy. seriously!!! he has never once said it!!! if i am "assuming" he's gay then you are also "assuming" he is straight even though he has never once said it!!
how execute you think we got bi buck as canon? like i am serious right now, address the question. how do you think we go bi buck canon? evan buckley was never conceived to be a attracted to both genders man at the beginning of 911. the reason we hold evan buckley as a canonically bisexual character today is because us, queer fans of 911, interpreted him and headcanoned him as bisexual. i would proceed even further and say that it was us, BUDDIE FANS, who interpreted him and headcanoned him as bi. even before the writers were explicitly writing him as bisexual. we peruse his actions and his story and his identity and said: "this is a bi character!" and the wr
